This policy explains what Wishworkskins (“we”) collects when you use wishwork.skin, and why. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- When you sign in with Steam: your public Steam ID and, from your public Steam profile, your display name and avatar. Sign-in happens on steamcommunity.com. We never receive your password, email address, inventory or payment details.
- Your votes: which items you voted for and when.
- A session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. It’s needed for the site to work and isn’t used for tracking.
- Data kept in your browser: items you answered No or skipped in the voting queue, stored only on your device.
- Server logs: our hosting provider may record technical data such as IP address and browser type for security and to keep the site running.
How we use it
- To count each player’s vote once and show vote totals for each item.
- To show your name and avatar in the site header while you’re signed in.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We don’t sell your data, show ads or use advertising trackers. Vote totals are public, but they don’t show who voted.
Third parties
- Valve / Steam handles sign-in and provides public profile and Workshop data.
- Google Fonts serves the site’s font, so your browser connects to Google’s servers when loading the page.
- Our hosting provider stores the site and its data.
How long we keep it
We keep your Steam ID, profile name and votes while your account is active. Sign out at any time from the menu under your name. To delete your data, email us and we’ll remove your account and votes within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR. Email hello@wishwork.skin.
Children
Wishworkskins isn’t directed at children under 13, and Steam accounts have their own age requirements.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
